Vesper is sci-fi about a young woman's survival in a postapocalyptic universe. She must survive on her own wits and bio-hacking to keep her alive. The film also examines tensions between the haves and the have-nots, and how technology is related to nature.

Kristina Buozyte is the director of the film, along with Bruno Samper (the duo behind Vanishing Waves), a Lithuanian movie. Their film was the first to receive theatrical distribution in North America. Vesper has now brought their film back to the cinemas.

The film is about Vesper, thirteen-year-old girl. She takes care of her father, Darius. Unfortunately, Darius was paralysed. However, his consciousness is stored in the form of a floating orb. Vesper must learn how survive in a world of limited resources. She is also responsible to find food for herself.

Vesper isn’t the most polished film on the market, but it depicts a grim future in a very entertaining way. It tackles real-world issues, rather than the typical coming-of-age tales. Chapman is a natural expressive feature that the filmmakers don't hesitate to use. Her eyes convey a broad range of emotions.

Compared to other films of the genre, Vesper does not have a superstar lead. Instead, we are introduced into a variety of characters. Jonas (Eddie Marsan) is a cruel and ruthless man, who exploits children in a camp. However, he considers it a priority to protect his community. He makes use of the children to feed his elite metal mushroom city residents. Camellia (Raffiella Chamman) eventually defeats him.

The film's opening scene is a storyboard-perfect mise-en-scene. This film has the sort of audio and visual detail you won't find in a typical coming-of-age movie. Additionally, the soundtrack includes some great music.

The trailer is shown to the public when the movie hits theaters. This trailer gives viewers a peek into the apocalyptic world Vesper is part of. Although the trailer doesn’t reveal too much, it does hint at Raffeillachapman’s important role.

The film's voiceover gives the viewer an idea of the plot. The voiceover isn't as tactile as Chloe Zhao and the actresses and actors aren’t as well-known than those in Casino Royale. It has excellent cinematography and sound, with special effects.

Vesper is a unique blend of sci-fi and young-adult fiction. The film sometimes feels like a fairytale. Vesper talking to her father via drone is one example. It's full of teenage angst but not too sentimental.

This movie is not only a marvel at the effects, but also a testament to storytelling's power. With a mix of strands from different sci-fi films, it presents a compelling look at the human condition and our potential for redemption.
